We never choose where we are born,
We never choose when to be born,
We never choose how to be born.
We may change some things about us,
We may change how we feel about others,
We may change how they feel about life.
Hold back NOT therefore to do whatever is good to help a needy other.
It is in appreciation that in the goodness of this life...
...as you sleep comfortably, a person somewhere has nowhere to lay their head...
...as you eat your meal, a person somewhere, has nothing to put in their mouth...
...as you stand, a person somewhere,
...as you sit pretty, a person somewhere, lies limp, paralyzed...
...as you move, a person somewhere, has no legs...
While you talk, hear, see, feel, smell and taste, many are incapacitated, and it is beyond their control.
I do not have all the finances, and even if I had it may not buy all the help our unfortunate many desperately need, but I have shared these this with you. If it touched you, spread the touch... contribute!. See posts below and Write back ...

Mbeere is arid with few viable economic activities hence endemic poverty aggravated by erratic weather which makes it difficult for crop production. In good rain though, maize, beans, cow peas, green grams, millet, sorghum, mangoes, oranges, pawpaws, etc, do extremely well and surrounding areas like upper Embu where coffee and tea farming are practiced come down to buy foodstuffs from here. You know market forces, when supply is high demand is low hence little reaches those who sell. But it is all they have to make money to sustain other needs, school fees, shelter, clothes and general upkeep.
Trouble is the rains have failed severally in recent times, guess with changing weather patterns, causing drought. People have little or no food and many are now on relief food. Streams dry up, wells dried up and the only source of the water now is the dams for the villagers around them.
Last month, a woman was attacked and killed by crocodiles while fetching water from the dam. The husband risked and fought helplessly to free her. She left a 5 month old baby. Prior to that, another was rescued after a 30 minute battle, but left incapacitated. On Wed, a man lost hist left arm when he was rescued from yet another crocodile attack. He is recuperating in a Hospital ward. 2 days ago, a man was killed by yet another crocodile in similar circumstances.
My cause is to solicit for funds to buy plastic tanks that the villagers can use to trap rainwater and store during the rains to mitigate on the irresistible risk they expose themselves to, even as we await government attention and politicians to act. It is an urgent as this situation is currently uncontrollable.
You are my friend, help me help Mbeere. As I have been asking recently that we make our friendship count, let it count for me on behalf of the people of Mbeere faced with this catastrophe.
You may send cash to me via M-Pesa (it is now available even at Western Union), Immortal Dream account or straight up donate a tank and I will highly appreciate. Kindly inbox me and I will give you the phone and A/C number to donate to. Anything you give will go the distance to touch a lives.
